Structure-flex has been manufacturing for over 45 years, a wide range of heavy duty reusable bulk packaging for granules, powders and liquids, which excel in harsh environments and demanding applications.
Our products are all manufactured using modern high frequency welding machines and are used for a variety of purposes including: in-process intermediate batch storage, short and long term storage, as well as product transportation ranging from short distance closed loop factory environments, up to cross continent shipping.
Existing direct and expanding relationships with humanitarian organisations over the last two decades, has enabled us to develop and enhance a wide variety of flexible tank products, to facilitate reliable cost effective potable water distribution, during a humanitarian crisis. We have earned a reputation as an approachable, reliable partner, and we remain ready to respond when called upon year after year.
"The bulk bag technology has been the best solution for our needs and the flexibility of use and customisation of the product has enabled them to dovetail in with our processes. Wright's has purchased bulk bags from Structure-flex for a number of years and never any issues with any of them."
Structure-flex Ltd have manufactured the Original Big Bag container since 1970 for the exceptionally safe storage and transportation of powders and granules in bulk, continuing to do so today in various designs and capacities ranging from 500kg to 2,500kg.
In some instances the Original Big Bag still continues to be the first and some argue only sensible choice in hostile environments across the world, such as in the demanding Middle East and Gulf of Mexico oil and gas industries.
Operators have grown accustomed to and enjoy the robust independently validated 8:1 safety factors, in conjunction with the Big Bag's renowned durability and reliability, working hand in hand with the ever increasing stringent health and safety operational requirements of the modern world.
The waterproof properties of the high frequency manufacturing construction and UV resistant thermoplastic coated textiles, make the Big Bag ideally suited to hygroscopic materials, and also enables both short and long term uncovered external storage, something not possible with disposable polypropylene FIBC bag.
Strap bags are designed to be handled operationally in the same way as one trip FIBC polypropylene bags, but with a far higher degree of customisation in terms of design, overall transportation stability and shape retention when full.
The PVC coated textiles used in construction offers excellent UV protection, giving years of life for all year round external storage, as well as being far less susceptible to damage.
Ring Bags are designed to be handled in conjunction with our bespoke hinged lifting ring, and are suited to where the majority of handling is crane or hoist based, such as on oil rigs. By eliminating the traditional lifting straps, it in turn eliminates the opportunity to damage the straps rendering the bag as potentially scrap, giving ring bags longer in field service.
Baffle bags incorporate a series of internal baffles, connecting the opposing Big Bag walls to each other. The number, location and shape of baffles, which incorporate cut-outs to promote even product flow during and emptying, will vary depending upon application.
Baffles are ordinarily introduced to square or rectangular bags, to enable the bag to retain an exceptionally uniform shape and provide greater stability. Bag containing more unstable free flowing or semi liquid contents, benefit greatly from this design.
Baffle based bags are also more stable during transportation and far more likely to remain inside a pallet footprint, reducing handling damage and abrasion damage from neighbouring loads.
The 'form-stable' nature of baffle bags, are also well suited to automated warehouse storage, which require a high level of dimensional stability of product sitting on pallets.
The Eclipse is a 1,000 litre capacity liquid container designed to effortlessly meet the packaging needs of any non-hazardous bulk liquid handlers. The container consists of three essential elements; the inner disposable polythene liner, the outer reusable PVC bag and the metal frame itself. The Eclipse represents a unique opportunity to differentiate the way Companies brand, pack, and present their products. End users benefit from desirable features such as ease of discharge, lower cost empty carriage returns and reduced space requirements for empty unit storage to name a few.
Commonly known as pillow, bladder or lay-flat style tanks, they remain an economical and ever popular method of storing (or transporting) both potable and grey water, as well being suitable for diesel and fuel. They are easy to fold up and relatively light, which enables them to be transported to isolated places empty, or alternatively transported full of liquid, when configured as truck mountable. Supplied with a durable groundsheet, they can be deployed on a variety of rough terrain.
Structure-flex's self supporting range of open top tanks or 'onion' tanks, are frame free and designed to be quickly and easily deployed and filled on level ground, and incorporate either a foam or air filled collar, which rises unaided as the water is introduced.
Protective top covers incorporating securing ties back onto the tank body, and foam floats are incorporated, to prevent debris from falling in, as well as protecting water from UV light.
These tanks are very easy to clean and can be used to store drinking, grey or waste water and are often use as a storage method enabling the introduction of treatment chemicals, or as a settlement tank at the beginning of a filtration line system.
