The Cromer based supplier of lorry tension curtains and graphics has once again entered Norwich’s infamous duck race, as they continue their support for charities and long-standing sponsorship of local sport clubs.

On Sunday 24th the annual Break Charity Grand Norwich Duck Race took place – which saw Structure-flex enter with their goldfish-themed duck to help raise money for the charity.

Break charity work to provide children, young people and families the time, support and care needed to achieve their full potential, no matter their start in life.

The race, which is now in its twelfth year, brings together ducks from across Norfolk decorated and painted by individuals, companies and community groups for a race down the river - starting at St Georges Bridge.

Over the years Structure-flex has entered with many iconic characters such as Captain America, Darth Vader and more. This year, their duck is inspired by their iconic proof-test bags – which happen to resemble a goldfish.

“It’s a fantastic local event which we are always honoured to take part in, bringing together the local community for a fun day out and raising awareness for a great charity and cause” says Paul Reeve, Managing Director of Structure-flex.

Structure-flex not only participate in local charity events but also support charities around the globe, including Malawi-based Cycle of Good.

Cycle of Good transform donated materials into products which are for sale in the UK – with all profits being used to fund a children’s centre which provides care and support for 2,000 children.

Structure-flex support the charity by donating offcuts of their flexible thermoplastics which are used to manufacture industry-leading tension curtains. They have been supplying material for the last three years, with the resulting bags proving very popular.

“Sustainability is crucial for the planet and donating our offcuts helps both reduce waste and create a reliable income for a great charity, which will help support communities in Malawi” adds Paul Reeve.

Alongside helping charities, Structure-flex also show their support for the local community by sponsoring Holt FC and North Walsham Rugby Club – two teams located in North Norfolk.

They have been a proud sponsor of the two teams for several years and will continue to support them both through the upcoming season.

“These two teams play a vital role in bringing everyone together and providing a fun and active outlet for people of all ages and we can’t wait to watch them succeed in their respective seasons” adds Paul Reeve.

Established in 1970, Structure-flex are the UK’s leading supplier of lorry tension curtains and provide a wide range of other products from flexible thermoplastic, including bulk packaging, proof test bags, air lift bags and the Mobildeich flood-defence system.

They also deliver a variety of digital printing services from vehicle graphics and wraps, to signage and advertising.

“We believe that giving back to our community is an important part of our success. We’re proud to support local charities and sport clubs which make a difference to people’s lives. Everyone deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential and we are committed to helping make that happen” concludes Paul Reeve.
