Structure-flex has been nominated for a prestigious industry award in the Wide Format And Super Wide Format category of the Digital Printer Awards 2015.

The annual awards, run by Whitmar Publications, are considered to be the digital printing industry’s only comprehensive awards that recognise quality, creative and innovative work in the sector in 13 different categories.

Structure-flex has been nominated for its work on rock photographer Nick Elliott’s Size Matters exhibition with the company printing 13 images as individual exhibits, each an incredible 8 meters high. The outside art exhibition was held in June and is believed to have been a world first.

Managing Director, Paul Reeve, commented: “Being nominated for such a prestigious award is fantastic recognition for our large format printing capabilities and we have a history of constant progression with cutting-edge technology.

“Our Graphic Division recently invested a further £450,000 in the latest large format printing press used to produce the exhibits for Size Matters and it is wonderful that our innovation is being rewarded in this way.”

Structure-flex is shortlisted in the category alongside four other specialist printers and will discover whether they have won the award during an illustrious ceremony in the Marriott Hotel, Grosvenor Square, London, on 12th November.

The award nomination comes in the company’s 45th anniversary year after it moved its successful manufacturing business to new facilities having completed a £1.5m refurbishment programme at the premises earlier this year.

“It is also wonderful to be recognised for our work in display graphics,” continued Paul. “Structure-flex has a long-established reputation in the manufacture of trailer curtainsiders and vehicle graphics but our capabilities extend to large format printing for any use and this award nomination is testament to that.”

Structure-flex is not new to award nominations and last year won a Queen’s Award for International Enterprise for increasing its export sales by more than 250pc over the previous three years positioning the business at the forefront of a very demanding global market place.
