Management Team
The Structure-flex Ltd management team consists of
Ian Doughty, BSc Industrial Engineering, CEng, FIEE, has been with SFX since 1988 as Managing Director. In 1992, Ian led a successful MBO and is the principal shareholder in what is now a wholly owned family business. Over the years, Ian has developed invaluable manufacturing experience on both a UK and International level.
Bill Wallace-King, is the Finance Director. A qualified Chartered Accountant with an economics degree and a professional independent director, Bill assisted Ian Doughty with the MBO, joining the board. He has contributed to the success of a range of high performing business in a broad variety of sectors. He has strong acquisition, financing, and disposal experience, but specialises in the issues and opportunities facing developing businesses.
Kate Ryan, MCIPD, has been with the company since 2000 and is the HR Manager and Company Secretary. Kate specialises in organisational development, recruitment and change management. Implementing absolute best practice, Kate ensures the Company’s status as a fair and reasonable employer, focussing on open and consistent communication and consultation.
Matt Doughty, BA(Hons) Marketing, has been with the company since 1998 and is now the Sales and Marketing Manager. Uniquely qualified in both technical and marketing disciplines, his primary focus in on new business development. Whilst directly managing a high performing team of nine sales people in the UK, Matt has established key strategic distribution partnerships and joint marketing initiatives to sell more of Structure-flex’s global products overseas.
Paul Reeve, CMS, HND Eng, has been with the company since 1994 and is the Commercial Manager. Heading up a multi-disciplined team including global purchasing, technical design, innovation and new product development, Paul plays a key role in Structure-flex’s capability offering. With responsibility for a number of key existing client accounts, Paul is also exceptionally well positioned to drive the progression of our special projects division.
Sarah Davis, AAT, has been with the company since 2000, and is the Company Accountant. Sarah’s skills and experience prove invaluable in the management of Structure-flex’s accounts department. With responsibility for Credit Management and working capital management, Sarah also ensures the smooth running of the business’s administrative and data handling systems to provide vital statistical information and analysis to the Company’s various departments.
Richard Bowman, HNC Eng, recently joined the company in 2007, and is the Production Manager. With significant expertise in the field of Lean manufacturing, Richard has already implemented key production performance measures and new systems of work to establish to improve efficiency. The results have seen continuous increases in production output, quality consistency and flexibility of resource.
